Since the launch of our new website we have not stood still regarding the digitalization of our services. The next step we have taken is the launch of a new drivers app in cooperation with Transics. The app will allow us and our customers to get faster updates from drivers.
The new drivers app allows our back office to track and trace each shipment directly on the spot. Drivers and the planning team can directly message each other about each individual step in the shipment process. As the app offers the ability to scan documents and report problems, this can all be directly logged and later on directly be found when requested.
The driver app can be downloaded and installed on any Android phone and works independent from a fixed telematics system in the truck, this makes it highly flexible and efficient for any new driver and trucks to start using it.
Once we have set-up all of the drivers to use the app to communicate all of their info through the next step in the process will be the use of eCMR. The eCMRs will also be fully integrated into the app. As soon as the driver picks up his container the CMR will be created, and all parties will be able to sign on the driver's device. A copy can then be shared immediately.
